Came across this video featuring the freediver recovery vest - very cool concept. Vest activates based on variables (time / depth) inputted by diver. There is also a safety feature that activates if the computer notices that you have surfaced and begin to sink again (after 10 secs) - avoid shallow water blackout. Only catch - device costs approx. $3,000. The vest is developed by Ocean Safety Systems.
